I wanted an attractive alarm clock with two alarms, a radio and no frills. This little clock is just perfect, and the auto time set is a great feature. I just loved plugging it in and having the correct time pop up. It's a nice, compact size. You really can't beat the price either.

This is a great self-setting clock. It's one of the few that was white and went well with the room (most other clocks these days are black). The display is nice an bright, which is adjustable. The individual controls to turn on and off the alarms are unique (large turn dials) but are easy to grasp even when you are sleepy. I wish that the snooze button was a bit more raised, and that the OFF button (off for radio and for alarm) was also a bit larger. Otherwise a great product.

BTW, like others have reported, the clock indicated that the installed lithium coin battery was dead on arrival (I wonder how long the clock sat on the shelf before I bought it). No problems. I popped in a new one and things are fine.

Even though this is not exactly one of the latest models, I was happy to find that this has install and forget reliability and accuracy. I ordered 2 one for myself and other for the kid. These are both working well 2 months after installation.

Small size, light weight, and fine dual alarm. Only problem I faced is when tuning the radio. Most of the stations get mixed up and aren't that clear. They shouldn't have had the antenna inside the wire and the wire needs to be stretched out always, so it may not be feasible depending on how and where you keep the device. Also for the radio to function properly, it needs to be away from cell phones and other such devices that may cause interference. I faced no such problem with the radio when I had a Radioshack alarm clock which I bought for 14 $. Only problem was that it was a little larger and slightly heavier.

Replaced a clock radio whose display was almost unreadable after 15 years. This one is much better for old eyes. Don't care for the method of how you set the time, but otherwise it's been working great for almost 3 months.

Bought this because I wanted something a little better than my phones alarms. Works well, has a pretty easy set up as long as you read the manual. Lightweight. Has two dedicated separate knobs for each alarm. Bright display, but not annoyingly bright. Alarm has a tone that wakes you up, but does not wake up the whole block. If you need an air horn to wake you, don't buy this. Great value considering its Sony brand quality.

I was really pleased to get this clock, and have always trusted Sony, BUT, the backup battery indicator light came on as soon as I set it up. So I had to manually set up the time--not automatic as advertised. That's not so bad, but Sony evidently finds it too much trouble to just send me a battery. I made 3 calls and an email, and they are all telling me that I must send the battery to Texas and when they receive it, they will send me a battery. For a $14 radio? Come on! This is a brand new item, and what, a CR2032 battery is too priceless to mend customer relations and trust? I have purchased many Sony items in the past, but never had to ask for anything before. I can see now that customer satisfaction is very low on their priority list.

I am a HEAVY sleeper yes it take's some adjusting and learning NOT to hit snooze as it will up it each hit up to 60 mins so thats not so cool and wish I could change it so it won't do that but still not horrible. The off button for alarm is on alarm b side above the snooze button and has off imprinted in it and is a tiny bit bigger and slopes in so it over time can be figure'd out which one you hit to shut it off if. Also alarm snooze will be over righted if you set the other for 15 mins past the first and use the dual alarm set up thus making it harder to over sleep as the first snooze is 10 mins by 5 mins past that even the hard to wake up one's will wake up esp if alarm b is set 15 mins past to radio on full blast. Alarm beep sound is alright not annoying but it work's. Switch for it low or high on alarm A time adjuster. DST is hard to figure out with manual and google. I am PST so it's 5 and it will supposedly auto DST for me as I set time zone and date and year for mine but I won't know for a little bit still. But if I ever sleep that day I will know. :) Never had issues resetting or with battery, but it won't work with out the battery correctly. So if your light come's on replace the battery and read manual too as it has step's you need to take when this happens. But mine is 2 yrs old maybe more and been unplugged, and replugged in and never had an issue. Also I never had it do the alarm while unplugged as when I want to store it I turn them off and remove the battery. The last time I forgot that part and so for a few months it has had the battery in it and using it right now no issues yet. For radio antenna is in the power cord try adjusting it to make the radio work better. Also be sure you set up the snooze sleep set up for 90-15 mins to auto shut off radio after you fall asleep so the alarm will help wake you up esp with hard sleepers. All this is in the manual or I figured it out myself playing with it when we got it. I also paid $12-$15 for it and still super pleased with all I get for it. Even brightness adjuster for less bright at night low that as does hubby.

Good luck and enjoy of you buy it I know I do. I also have had like 12 alarm clocks in 20 yrs or less and this is by far the best one for the price yet. I know target had them in stock usually and cheap or amazon had sales on them too.

For $14, you just can't beat this one. The two alarms adjust forward and backwards easily. Backwards is a huge advantage! Seeing the alarm time when the alarm is on seems to require you to turn the alarm off, then on, to have it shown.

he "auto-set" is not synched to WWV/WWVH, but uses a long-lasting battery and works well enough. You can set "override" the internal clock to sync so that, for example, your 6:01 alarm means that the news on NPR starts moments after the clock radio kicks on. For me, functional enough and doesn't have some of the mis-setting problems like the inexpensive "atomic-set" clocks.

It switched over to PDT to PST properly for me this year, a nice surprise.

The numbers are very readable without my glasses. The brightness control seems to work well. The alarm is progressive in insistence, but "low" and "high" are just about the same level.
